North Hartford Residents Shape the Conversation on Housing

North Hartford Ascend, in partnership with Childhood Prosperity Lab and Building for Health, hosted a community co-design session focused on housing and neighborhood well-being. Residents from the Clay Arsenal, Northeast, and Upper Albany neighborhoods shared their perspectives on the factors that impact quality of life in their communities.

Participants identified neighborhood safety, community connection, and housing affordability as top priorities, while also highlighting the importance of community events, youth opportunities, and strong relationships among neighbors. The insights gathered will help inform future North Hartford Ascend initiatives and partnerships to better support children, families, and residents across North Hartford.
