Community Workshop – Creating Opportunities in Our Community

September 8 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Overview

This hands-on session helps you spot unmet needs and turn one into a small business or side-income idea.

Every need in the neighborhood is an opportunity.  What’s missing in North Hartford, and could you be the one to provide it? This hands-on session helps you spot unmet needs and turn one into a small business or side-income idea. You’ll learn the difference between a job, a hustle, and a business, and get connected to free local help like SCORE mentors and small-business lenders.

You’ll walk away with: an opportunity canvas and your first step toward making it your reality.

Whether you’re heading back to work, switching lanes, starting something of your own, or just trying to steady your money through a rough patch, the Career Mobility & Opportunity Workshop Series was built for you, right here in North Hartford. Led by Rochelle Williams, North Hartford resident, nonprofit engagement specialist, and founder of R.W. Professional Services.

This event is part of the Ascend Community Workshop series. Seats are limited, and pre-registration is required. Refreshments will be available.
