SUMMARY:Question-Persuade-Refer (QPR) Training for Suicide Prevention
DESCRIPTION:\ \n\n\n\nLearn how to identify the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question\, persuade\, and refer someone to get help. \n\n\n\nQuestion-Persuade-Refer (QPR) Training for Suicide Prevention teaches individuals how to identify the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question\, persuade\, and refer someone to get help. Similar to how CPR is an emergency medical intervention\, QPR is an emergency mental health intervention designed to intervene in the event of a crisis and direct that person to the proper care. We aim to offer hope to those at-risk of suicide by forming an alliance of community members across the state of Connecticut who are trained in QPR. \nThis event is part of the Ascend Community Workshop series. Seats are limited\, and pre-registration is required.
